HereItWas ("the App", "we", "us") is a photo-based storage-management app that helps you remember where your belongings are. This policy explains what data the App handles and how. Please read it together with our Terms of Use.
In short: You don't create an account, and the photos and item information you add stay on your device — we don't upload or collect them. The App shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect limited device and advertising data as described below.

Everything you create in the App — homes, rooms, photos ("snapshots"), storage areas, items, notes, and favorites — is stored locally on your device in the App's private database and file storage. This content is not transmitted to us or to any server. We have no access to it.
If you use the in-app Backup feature, the App creates a .zip file
containing your data and hands it to your device's share/save dialog. Where that
file goes (Files app, cloud drive, email, etc.) is entirely your choice and is
governed by whatever service you send it to.
We do not require or collect your name, email address, phone number, or any account credentials. The App runs under an anonymous local profile.
The App asks for camera and photo-library access only so you can take or attach photos of your storage spaces. These photos are saved locally as described above. The App does not scan, upload, or share your photo library.
The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google and its partners may collect and process certain information from your device, such as a device advertising identifier, IP address, general device information, and ad-interaction data. This processing is carried out by Google as a third party under Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543 (how Google uses information).
We do not receive the personal data Google collects for advertising; we only receive aggregate, non-identifying performance reporting.
The App uses internet access to request and display ads. It does not send your stored content over the internet.
Because your data lives on your device, you control it entirely:
We hold no copy of your content, so there is nothing for us to delete on a server.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, noted in the App.
